Charitable Giving Committee

Fisher’s Charitable Giving Committee was created to coordinate and promote the charitable organizations that Fisher’s TEAM MEMBERS select once a year.

We support lots of other great causes throughout the year, but these are the organizations selected by employees that are near and dear to our heart for 2019:

Quarter 1

Idaho Foodbank: Fisher’s team members our helping raise foods and funds to provide 1,200,000 pounds of food!

More Information:

"Donor support in terms of food and funds is always highest in the months of November and December – the traditional season of giving. Unfortunately, hunger in Idaho is not limited to the holidays. More than 222,000 men, women and children (72,000 children) struggle with hunger on a daily basis. To address the need, The Foodbank must collect and distribute more than a million pounds of food every month to support our programs and more than 400 community partners."

Quarter 2

Idaho Make-A-Wish Foundation: Fisher’s team members plan to donate their time to help the organization out with their telethon. The Make-A-Wish® Idaho Chapter raised over 2.8 million miles in 2018 and we hope to do even more in 2019! These miles can help grant a wish for a local child.

More Information:

“Every 37 minutes Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.”

Quarter 3

Idaho Humane Society: Fisher's team members plan to attend the "See Spot Walk" event as it's the charities largest fundraiser of the year. We also contributed in-house printing as well as money donations to the organization.

More Information:

The mission of the Idaho Humane Society is to advocate for the welfare and responsible care of animals, protect them from neglect and cruelty, and promote humane education, awareness, and compassion. We believe that because domestic animals are a product of human intervention, we have a special obligation to them in regard to humane treatment and responsible stewardship.

Quarter 4

St. Luke's Childrens Hospital: Fisher’s plans to coordinated the sponsorship of a local family from the St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital this Holiday Season. Our team will collect and gather gifts and goodies for this family in need.
